Mary Ododa- Founder

Mary Ododa is a Project and Business Strategist who partners with CEOs, executives and solopreneurs to grow startups and small organizations. With over 10 years’ experience from different companies and organizations in West Africa, South Africa and Kenya, she knows what startups and small organizations face from fierce competition, funding and creating a stable database of clients. Mary’s specialty encompasses Research, Business Development, Project Coordination, Training, and Writing.

She has a solid understanding of the effort and focus required to start a business, and then meet the demands facing the small business owner on a daily basis. Her strength and expertise however, lies in her skillful ability to support clients to recognize, process and resolve issues and blocks within themselves and their team. Her work as a trainer has often been with the small business owner and small organizations who have required very specific skills for self or staff. This has given even greater insights into the dynamic process and requirements for small business operators to be successful in the 21st Century marketplace.

Mary holds a BSc in Environmental Management from the University of South Africa and, is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Chicago Institute of Business.


Pauline Mwenja -Advocate

Pauline Wacu Mwenja is an advocate of the High court of Kenya and the Managing Partner of Wacu Mwenja & Co Advocates.  She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from Kenyatta University and Post Graduate Diploma in Law from Kenya School of Law. She is a member of the Law Society of Kenya and Mombasa Law Society and sits in the Young Lawyers Committee of the Law Society of Kenya. Over the years, she has acquired robust knowledge and skills in the legal field having worked with the Retirement Benefits Authority Kenya, Mohammed Kinyanjui Advocates and Jimmy Kahindi & Associates Advocates.

Daniel Iberi-  Strategic Communications Specialist

Daniel is a Strategic Communications Specialist with 10 years of experience in the Communications field. He has deep knowledge in crafting and executing communication strategies for local and international organizations as well as development of concept notes and proposals. His areas of specialization include Development and Corporate Communication.

Daniel is currently the Strategic Communications Manager at the HORN International Institute for Strategic Studies (a think tank headquartered in Kenya) where he is in charge of internal and external communication. In past, he has consulted with UNICEF and other international organizations including World Vision, Concern Worldwide, International Medical Corps, and Save the Children. While with these organizations, he trained frontline health workers on effective health messaging and helped create county-specific health communication strategies.

Daniel also has a good track record in managing communications portfolios including websites, bulletins, press releases, newsletters, video production, among others in mainstream and social media. He possesses excellent writing and editing skills as well as in-depth knowledge of social and political trends in the world. He has extensive experience with the use of Google Analytics Google Adwords, WordPress, Adobe Photoshop, Gimp 2, Canva, Photo and Video editing, Hootsuite,  Social Media Management (Social Ads), Benchmark, MailChimp, and Search Engine Optimization. Daniel is conversant with the application of the Theory of Change and Social Impact Theory in development projects.

Daniel holds a Master of Arts in Communication Studies from the University of Nairobi, Kenya and a Bachelor of Education (Arts) from Kenyatta University, Kenya.

Faiza Farah -Researcher

Faiza Farah’s interests lie in Research, Projects and Peace and Conflict as her academic background is in the field of International Relations. She is mainly experienced in research and translation work and is passionate about social matters, particularly concerning the most vulnerable groups in society such as refugees and internally displaced persons and gender-related issues. Her final research work will focus on migration trends in Africa and its effects on the continent. Faiza aspires to pursue a career in peace and conflict field and write policies for government or international agencies. In her free time, Faiza enjoys reading novels, occasionally hikes and is a devoted tea-person and hopes to live on a tea plantation.

She hold as Bachelor of Arts in International Relations concentrated on Development Studies and is currently enrolled in Master of Arts program at United States International University, Africa (USIU-A) focusing on Peace and Conflict Studies.

Lorine Akinyi – PR Strategist

Lorine works with entities to strategically position and promote themselves as reliable brands in the market. Through advertising branding, press, social media presence, product promotion and customer engagement surveys, they are able to ensure their presence is perceived positively.
Her expertise is in content creation, press release writing, media connection, market research, digital campaigns, crisis communication strategies and brand management. With 8 years’ experience in NGO, Parastatals and Corporates, she has been able to grow entities from small or nonexistent entities to big brands and household names through different strategies tailored to suit each case

Lorine holds a BA Development Studies, Social Economics from Mt. Kenya University and pursuing a Masters of Art in Communication at Daystar University

Maingi Kinuthia- Creative Director

With more than 5 years’ experience in Digital Arts and Print Media, Maingi has vast knowledge and skills in corporate branding, printing, graphic design, photography and videography, video editing, motion graphics for film, and television commercials (TVC) production. In the past he has worked on numerous projects with various organizations such as TRUE-D Pictures, as an Assistant Art Director, DENT International, where he was the Lead Concept Designer for event set ups and layout creating a niche look and feel for the events, and Peach Marketing, undertaking a nationwide product promotion campaign as the Project Manager.

He is very time oriented in delivery of projects and detailed in the projects’ final output either print or digital. He is also a member of the Association of Animation Artistes Kenya, where he is currently working with different motion graphics artistes and scriptwriters on a local short film animation project.

Maingi holds a Higher National Diploma in Film and Animation from ShangTao Media Arts.

Shadia Majoub Asindua -Development Specialist

Shadia is a development practitioner. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Development Studies, specializing in Natural Resource Management and Community Development from Islamic University in Uganda Females Campus. As a development specialist, she has worked with organizations like Uganda Women’s Network (UWONET) where she participated in information collection on Gender based violent cases and, empowering women of Luweero of their rights in order to access justice and participate fully in economic life so as to achieve internationally agreed goals for development and sustainability. She has also worked with Center for Sustainable Conflict Resolution (CSCR)/Building Resilience against Violent Extremism (BRAVE) as the Administrative Secretary where she focused on issues of promoting peace, through sustainable conflict resolution mechanisms addressing violent extremism.

She is also a member of the Kenya Red Cross Society in Malindi where she is applying her skills and knowledge to make a difference in people’s lives.

Asia M. Yusuf – Social Media Strategist

Asia Mustafa is a Social Media Strategist with 2 years’ experience designing social media strategies to achieve marketing targets. She manages, creates and publishes original high quality content on social platforms. She administers all company social media accounts to ensure up to date content and excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Linkedln, Pintrest, Instagram, Google+ and other social media best practices. Her practical knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics couples with experience doing audience and buyer persona has been enhanced by her skills of good understanding of social media KPLs and web design. She is a critical thinker and a team player.

Asia is pursuing a degree in International Relations from the University of Nairobi.
